Clinical Social Work Services

At Doctors Medical Center Modesto, we realize that dealing with an illness or injury can present a difficult time for patients and their loved ones. Caring and qualified clinical social workers are available to assist you and your family with the many psychological and social problems that may arise during illness and hospitalization. Our clinical social workers are trained healthcare professionals with master’s degrees in social work. As a key member of your health care team, we listen closely to your concerns and promote your total health. Our aim is to offer a comprehensive service providing advocacy, education, and links with appropriate resources.

How To Reach A Social Worker

There is a social worker assigned to each unit within the hospital. If you would like to speak with a clinical social worker, please ask the nursing staff or your doctor to contact the Social Services Department for the social worker assigned to your floor.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Saturday – Sunday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Holidays and after hours, please speak with your nurse.
